Mark Chaffee

A native Vermonter, I grew up in Essex Junction and graduated from UVM with a degree in Business Administration. I now live in Burlington, with my wife Lori and daughter Emma. I have been active in the mortgage industry for many years, serving as Vice President of Mortgage Financial since 1993. I was named one of the top 100 mortgage originators nationwide in 2005 by the National Mortgage News. A founding member of the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association in 1994, I have served as both an Officer and Board Member. I am a certified Mortgage Professional (CMP) with the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association, and am a Registered Mortgage Advisor (RMA) with the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants. Less than 1% of all mortgage officers nationwide have received the training necessary for this designation. Most importantly, I am dedicated to assisting my clients in developing the best mortgage plan that meets their individual needs.

Our Team

My team consists of Lori Hayes, Executive Assistant, Jay Vallieres, Production Assistant, Lauren Zani, Processor, and Christy Hill, Receptionist. Lori has more than 20 years experience in management, training and admistration. She keeps you updated through all phases of the financing process. Jay's detailed knowledge of investor guidelines allows him to prepare the loan application for underwriting, as well as to originate new loans. Lauren answers any documentation requirement questions in a timely manner. Christy greets customers, answers general questions in a professional and courteous manner, and organizes application documentation.
